This is Us

Have you ever thought about what makes you happy?  Like really happy?  For us, it's family.  We navigated through rough waters when Kalem, now 15, was diagnosed with Autism almost 13 years ago.  We made so many sacrifices, changed our lifestyles, downsized our home and lowered our expectations of what life "could be" so we can do whatever needed to be done to help our son.  The challenges of "raising autism" are real, and they are difficult.  But, little did we know that Kalem had it in him to persevere ... and did he ever!  He is one of the strongest people I have ever known.   He is incredibly empathetic, has a heart of gold and loves to make people smile.  Oh yeah, he is also known for his signature hugs!  They are the best!!  

Today, we are inspired by his strength, his determination and his joie de vivre and use that positive energy in creating pieces of art that reflect love, peace and family.  We create as a family.  Everyone has a job to do at Kalem's Corner, even our youngest Sammy who is also on the Autism Spectrum and has the most incredible big brother to teach him about the beauty of compassion and philanthropy. 

Kalem's Cause is also a part of our organization that fundraise throughout the year to help local families in need living difficult moments and who are  also touched by autism.  

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your home in some small way. We love what we do, we love our community, and we love paying it forward.
